Writing is a way of communication. Some of us do write as a hobby. On the other hand, the rest of us do so for professional work. These professional writings include academic, extracurricular or job sector.
We express our feelings through our writing for better understanding. Sometimes in brief, sometimes elaborately.
But in most cases, we find it difficult to spread our whole feelings through our writing. On the contrary, sometimes we think that our writing has met the necessary requirements which are needed but they actually fail to reach the reader’s heart.
If we want to express our whole feelings about what we want to write exactly, we must follow the “CRAFT” Model. The 5 steps will help our writings clear and easy to understand.
C – Clear about the Purpose
R – Think of the Reader
A – Use Appropriate Words
F – Follow Grammar
T – Be To the Point
We must be sure of what we are writing and the purpose behind it. Then, we should determine who’s going to read that very writing. It’s very important to think from the reader’s point of view. How much they know about the topic and how much they would take the learning from that very writing are also critical issues. Next, we must use correct and appropriate words. Sometimes the words we use might have double meanings which would confuse the readers. After that, we must follow the rules of language and grammar correctly. Finally, we must be to the point on the topic and avoid unnecessary things to include. We should have a review of the whole writing thoroughly which would make the writing an effective one.
