The Covid19 pandemic has drastically changed the regular routine of many youths over the last 8 months. In this lockdown, some have enriched themselves by adding new skills while some have given a new direction to their professional career.
Let’s know about some of the popular activities of our youth in this lockdown.
1. Online Courses
Perhaps, one of the best things about this lockdown is that it has offered us a plethora of free online courses provided by Coursera, Udemy, and other renowned educational organizations. Thousands of students got free access to these online courses which has helped them to uncover some of the greatest online materials and resources in their respective field of study. These courses covered a huge range of topics from personal to professional, and from beginner to expert level including but not limited to language learning, website development, programming language, marketing, leadership, and many more.
Undoubtedly many youths have gone through a critical time over the past few months and have experienced tough situations due to financial crisis and unemployment. While Covid19 has made many people jobless, some have chosen digital marketing to meet their needs. They are now working online from home as freelancers unveiling their talents and interests in content writing, graphic design, and so on.
A significant number of young girls and boys have come up with their creative ideas and business plan in recent days and are working hard to establish themselves as successful entrepreneurs which is quite appreciable. They have chosen to be self-independent rather than waiting for the uncertain day when everything will become normal. This trend will certainly help our young generation to recover from a job-seeking mind and encourage them to do something on their own.
Recently research in medicine, epidemiology, microbiology, mathematical modeling in biology, and related fields has increased to a great extent. As a result, young bio-science researchers are now in great demand throughout the world. Both the number and the amount of scholarship in many top-ranked foreign universities’ bio-science related subjects have increased to a large amount which has opened the door of ample opportunities for our young fresh graduates.
Some young enthusiastic souls dedicated themselves to the service of mass people. Even this dangerous Covid19 couldn’t stop them from rendering their valuable services to society. Volunteers from different non-profit organizations have come forward to make people aware of Covid19, and help financially disabled people by providing them daily needs.
