Organic foods are those which are delivered by the strategies that follow the norms of natural cultivating. Increase in the global demand for organic foods is pretty high nowadays. In Bangladesh, this demand is also flourishing but the practice of organic farming is not sustainable. Organic foods contain a large number of benefits to our body as well as country. Some of the major benefits are, it is chemical free, tastes better and preserves our ecosystem and biodiversity.
Firstly, one of the major benefits of organic food is it doesn’t contain any toxic substitutes. Therefore, the nutrients of organic food help us to maintain a healthy and sound life. For example, Rural people who eat organic food are stronger and healthier compared to city people. Moreover, it doesn’t have any negative side effects. Therefore, organic food should be prioritized for being active and healthy.
In addition to that, organic food tastes better than any other food. Good nutritional content and optimal flavor are carried by these foods. For example, if anyone feels aversion to foods, doctors often prescribe a lot of organic foods to eat. Moreover, as these foods are naturally cultivated, they contain a lot of nutrients and avoid harmful pesticides. Therefore, in order to increase our food taste, we should eat a lot of organic foods.
Lastly, organic food helps to preserve our ecosystem and biodiversity. Biodiversity at all levels are maintained through our organic farmers. For example, as organic farms don’t use harsh pesticides and chemicals it creates a safe habitat for all species. Further, organic food enables species to grow both in number and variety. Therefore, in order to preserve the ecosystem and biodiversity, we should emphasize on organic food and organic farming.
Organic foods not only help us to increase the nutrients of our body but also give a better food taste and preserve the entire ecosystem. Therefore, in order to secure the future health of the nation, we should emphasize more on cultivating organic foods. For this reason, the government should take effective steps to enhance the quantity of organic foods by providing proper guidelines to the farmers. Moreover, it has to be ensured that the price rate fluctuates in a fair range so that people of all levels can access it and can ensure enough nutrition. Lastly, we all should remember that, “We are what we eat.”
