One of the concerning global issues is the socio-economic development of countries and people as well. There are many issues regarding racism, socio-economic status, dogmas, cooperation, directly affect society and its people. As a result, it hinders the overall development of a nation. However, people and the government are trying to resolve some issues cordially. But do they think differently about social perspectives on collaboration? Are the people cordial enough to help others systemically? Have societies innovatively changed for good? In most cases, the answer is ‘no’. We have to find a different way and try to help people to lead a better life and get the chances to become better in their skills and communication.
The sharing economy, a new term but has a massive impact on the socio-economic development of a society. It is based on an exchange of services, goods, time, knowledge, and skills, also known as a collaborative economy. Its main motto is ‘using is more important than owning’. This motto highly depends on social and ecological values and beliefs. Now, let’s get to know how this concept greatly helps to promote humanitarian activities in society:
● Resource Sharing
People with additional resources can share or sell their resources with others with similar resource demands. In this way, unused resources will get used and both parties will be benefited.
● Ride- Sharing
Ride-sharing, or shared mobility, is defined as an innovative transportation strategy that enables users to gain short-term access to transportation modes on an as-needed basis. Uber, Pathao, Shohoj, etc are some of the known transportation modes that we use daily. People can share their rides and can note down the document of sharing time and location. This will surely reduce transportation costs.
● Exchanging services and skills
It’s not mandatory to share exchangeable products or rides. Skills can be shared too. One can offer their skills to train or teach others in return for their favors. As a result, the chances of acquiring knowledge from others increases, and eventually people will learn to respect each other.
● Communication
Sharing tendency as a medium can promote communication within people of society. There will be frequent talks, meetings, greetings, and most importantly everyone will develop a mindset to be helpful towards others.
