In today’s scenario, jobs are quite arduous to find as the current job market is much saturated than what it was before even a decade ago. At present the situation is such that, due to influx of a good number of individuals with similar sort of skillset, organizations while hiring are opting towards such strategies that enables them to select employees that can give maximum output with effective rewards system that serves their purpose the most. In this situation, what is seen in most organizations is that there is a sort of bias against women in case of hiring despite having identical skillset as that of men. Entrepreneurship can be a suitable alternative for women who prefer not to choose a career in organizations. But when it comes to gender equality in case of being an entrepreneur, women are somehow still lagging behind compared to men.
Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE) in association with Entrepreneurship Management, Communication & Business Club (EMCBC) is going to organize “Women as Job Creators 2019”, a day long workshop covering segments which are designed to motivate and encourage women to choose the path of entrepreneurship to become self-reliant and create a value for the society. The event is set to be held on 3rd of August, 2019 at Krishibid Institute Bangladesh, with 200 young minds across the country along with entrepreneurs who lead the path towards women entrepreneurship in this country.
YSSE as an organization believes in creating social values through entrepreneurship and also works with the aim of empowering the youth to eradicate poverty from the society. But what is persistent in this segment these days is there is a sort of gender inequality. Women are somehow a tapped resource when it comes to choose entrepreneurship as a career path, which is definitely a very big hurdle for a growing economy like Bangladesh. Women entrepreneurs should be provided with enough facilities and suitable environment so that they can nurture their dreams in the right way along promoting gender equality and women empowerment from socio-economic perspective.
“Women as Job Creators 2019” is an event that promotes women entrepreneurship along with empowering women to be self-reliant. This event will include speakers from different walks of life who choose the path of entrepreneurship for changing their lives and the society. Through this event, the female students who aspires to be entrepreneur one day will get a guideline to become entrepreneur, to have their own venture one day. There will be segments which will cover the type of opportunities available for women and also segments covering information and experience sharing by experts in this field.
Through this event, the participants will be able to understand the core concepts of being an entrepreneur. They will be able to understand the strategies that are needed to be followed in being an entrepreneur in a male dominated society. They will get a chance to do networking with country’s top women leaders along with get valuable insights from them regarding entrepreneurship. Moreover, this event will help much in the growth of their professional life.
YSSE always tries to empower youth and organizes events that eventually helps them to grow as resourceful individuals in future. As an event “Women as Job Creators 2019”, will not only empower the women to create values for themselves but also help to motivate the innovative minds to create values for the society which will eventually help eradicate the curse of unemployment, especially for women. This event will eventually help women to understand their true entrepreneurial potential and help to contribute to the society as well as for themselves for better future.
