We prioritize total transparency in how your donations are used, ensuring they directly impact the orphans and vulnerable groups we support.

At the Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE), we are dedicated to ensuring that every contribution is managed with the highest standards of transparency and integrity to empower orphans and vulnerable communities. In alignment with our ethical values, this policy outlines how Sadaqah contributions are responsibly utilized to fuel both our life-changing social programs and the essential operations that sustain our global mission.

1. Purpose of the Policy

This policy establishes the ethical and transparent framework for managing Sadaqah funds within the Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE). It defines the principles and limits governing the allocation of these funds toward operational costs, ensuring all practices remain strictly aligned with Islamic values and professional accountability.

2. Islamic Guiding Principles

2.1 Niyyah (Intention) At YSSE, all Sadaqah funds are managed with the sincere intention of serving the Almighty by uplifting those in need and fostering social entrepreneurship that creates a lasting, meaningful impact.

2.2 Maslahah (Public Benefit) In alignment with the principle of Maslahah, YSSE utilizes Sadaqah for initiatives that provide clear community benefits. This includes supporting the essential operational work required to deliver, scale, and sustain our charitable services and youth-led social programs.

2.3 Amanah (Trust & Accountability) YSSE treats every contribution as a sacred trust. We are committed to absolute transparency and accountability, ensuring all expenditures are ethically justified and strictly aligned with our mission to empower orphans, vulnerable families, and marginalized communities.

3. Permissible Use of Sadaqah Funds

Sadaqah funds are strictly dedicated to uplifting lives through immediate relief and long-term empowerment. These funds are allocated toward reasonable and necessary costs that directly support our beneficiaries, including:

3.1 Food Security & Nutrition: Providing nutritious meals and essential food supplies for Madrasa students, orphans, and underprivileged families to combat hunger and malnutrition.

3.2 Education & Essential Living: Funding tuition, books, uniforms, and learning materials, as well as covering essential living expenses like healthcare and clothing to ensure a dignified standard of living.

3.3 Youth Development & Empowerment: Investing in skill-building workshops, vocational training, and mentorship programs that transform vulnerable youth into self-reliant individuals.

3.4 Disaster Management & Emergency Relief: Rapid mobilization during crises to provide emergency food, clean water, medical aid, and temporary shelter for communities affected by natural calamities.

3.5 Direct Project Logistics: Necessary expenses for the storage, transport, and distribution of aid to ensure resources reach the most remote and needy populations effectively.

4. Non-Permissible Uses

To maintain the sanctity of Sadaqah and ensure the highest level of Amanah (Trust), YSSE strictly prohibits the use of these funds for the following:

4.1 Personal Benefit: Funds shall never be used for personal gain, private business interests, or any benefits unrelated to the organization’s charitable and social mission.

4.2 Interest-Based Payments (Riba): In accordance with Islamic principles, Sadaqah funds will never be used for interest payments, debt servicing involving Riba, or any non-Shariah-compliant financial transactions.

4.3 Luxury or Excessive Spending: YSSE avoids all forms of Israf (extravagance). Funds must not be used for luxury travel, high-end office decor, or any spending that exceeds what is strictly necessary to serve our beneficiaries.

4.4 Misaligned Activities: Funds will not be utilized for any projects, political campaigning, or activities that fall outside the core mission of YSSE to empower orphans, students, and vulnerable communities.
