UNIFIED CODE OF CONDUCT & ETHICAL GOVERNANCE

Jurisdiction: Global & Local Chapters

Scope: Governing Body, Executive Body, Interns, Ambassadors, and General Members.

ARTICLE I: CORE INSTITUTIONAL VALUES

YSSE operates as a bridge between local innovation and global impact. All representatives must uphold:

  • Trust: Managing organizational resources, data, and reputation as a sacred trust.
  • Neutrality: Maintaining a non-political, non-sectarian stance in all public representations.
  • Excellence: Striving for international standards in every local project.

ARTICLE II: GOVERNING BODY & EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP

Standard: Fiduciary Duty and Global Stewardship

  • 2.1. Strategic Transparency: Leaders must ensure that all global partnerships and local projects are aligned with the YSSE mission. Decisions must be documented, merit-based, and free from nepotism.
  • 2.2. International Representation: When interacting with UN agencies, global donors, or foreign governments, leaders must act as high-level diplomats of the social entrepreneurship movement.
  • 2.3. Fiscal Responsibility: Leadership must ensure that funds—whether global grants or local donations—are utilized with 100% transparency and zero leakage.

ARTICLE III: AMBASSADORS (Regional & Global)

  • 3.1. Localized Impact, Global Voice: Ambassadors are authorized to represent YSSE in their local regions but must ensure their messaging remains consistent with the Global Headquarters’ (HQ) directives.
  • 3.2. Ethical Networking: Ambassadors may not use their title to secure personal favors, visas, or financial sponsorships without prior formal approval from the Executive Body.
  • 3.3. Conflict Resolution: Ambassadors must act as mediators in local chapters, resolving disputes with fairness and preventing any factionalism within the regional network.

ARTICLE IV: EXECUTIVE STAFF & INTERNS

Standard: Operational Excellence and Professional Growth

  • 4.1. Global Work Ethic: All staff and interns, regardless of geographic location, must adhere to the YSSE Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding communication, punctuality, and reporting.
  • 4.2. Chain of Command: Respect for the organizational hierarchy is mandatory. While we encourage “bottom-up” innovation, formal decisions must follow the established approval flow.
  • 4.3. Resource Ethics: Use of the YSSE brand for personal portfolios, LinkedIn, or external CVs must accurately reflect the individual’s actual role and achievements.

ARTICLE V: GENERAL MEMBERS & MENTORS

Standard: Community Integrity and Collaborative Growth

  • 5.1. Intellectual Respect: Mentors must guide with humility, and members must innovate with honesty. Plagiarism of business models—whether from a local peer or a global competitor—is strictly prohibited.
  • 5.2. Non-Discrimination: Our community is a safe haven. Any member practicing discrimination based on local caste, religion, or global nationality will be permanently banned.
  • 5.3. Professional Networking: Members are encouraged to collaborate globally but are prohibited from using the YSSE directory for unauthorized mass marketing or “cold” commercial solicitation.

ARTICLE VI: UNIVERSAL PROHIBITIONS & DISCIPLINE

The following actions constitute a “Major Breach” for any individual, local or global:

  1. Financial Malpractice: Embezzlement, bribery, or unauthorized collection of funds in the name of YSSE.
  2. Reputational Damage: Making public statements (on social media or to the press) that contradict the official stance of YSSE.
  3. Moral Misconduct: Any form of harassment, bullying, or unethical behavior that violates the “Safe Space” policy of the organization.
  4. Unauthorized Representation: Signing MoUs or legal agreements on behalf of YSSE without a Power of Attorney (PoA) from the Governing Body.

ARTICLE VII: ENFORCEMENT MECHANISM

  • The Ethics Committee: A centralized body that reviews complaints from both local and global chapters.
  • Due Process: Every individual accused of a breach has the right to a fair hearing.
  • Sanctions: These range from formal warnings and “Title Revocation” to legal prosecution under local and international laws.
